DENIM DENIM DENIM !

Cool outfit for a baby? Go for DENIM! Denim never goes out of fashion (it doesn’t really matter with babies as they grow out of they clothes so quickly) but very often comes back with a big blue bang!  Now is the time to rock it, especial that as a mum (or dad) you will start slowly to shop for autom clothes or as me for clothes for the next 3 months ( yes I need to start preparing wardrobe in size 9-12 months !!!!!! ) .

There are some amazing pieces :

River Island does a lot of cool denim pieces :

In love with this little piece ! Had to get it for Chloe !

ZARA  is doing those dungarees. Pair with any top underneath for the cute little outfit.
H&M does this dress for £5,99!! You can pair it with a pretty blouse/ top for a cute look or go for cool printed leggings with a edgy top (stripy) for a cool look. And those denims couldn’t be any cuter.

NEXT went with the denim trend as well producing this really cute skirt and blouse (which Chloe owns now 😁)

BABY FASHION

I work in fashion and I love fashion.  What comes with it is the desire to buy lots of clothes for my baby girl. I am trying to be sensible with the amount of clothes I buy as she is growing so quickly. Because there is no point to buy lots the key is to buy carefully. Look at what do you need? how many of? And be selective! What is the most important, is making sure that clothes are comfortable and practical; trust me there is no point of buying lots of white clothes (as they won’t be white for long) or a silk blouse (as it probably will be ripped after first wash or wear) or something what is difficult to put on (as you baby will scream the place down!)

I am into fashion and trends, and I do want my baby to look nice but comfortable is a priority. I don’t agree with putting your baby in leather (think about how comfortable it is to wear for you, and you aren’t learning how to move and control every part of your body), lace (how itchy !!!)  ect!

Your baby can look cool, cute and be comfortable !

Best retailers in my opinion is : H&M, NEXT, ZARA, MAMMAS AND PAPPAS and RIVER ISLAND MINI. Lots of cute, comfy and fab stuff. Look at my YUMMY BABY section for food and fashion updates !

Development craziness !

It seems that my baby is on some short of development craziness ! One day she started crawling, few days later learnt how to sit up on her own, than started pulling herself to standing position, another few days later started crawling up the stairs !!!!!! And then walking while holding on to the furniture !!!? It’s crazy!!!!!!!!  Where is my little girl gone ? 😢 I am a very proud mummy !

3 WAY PANCAKES

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER MEAL

3 WAY PANCAKES

3 types of pancakes : Pancakes with strawberries, pancakes with apples, pancakes with banana.

So easy to make: follow a recipie for normal pancakes without adding sugar or salt (1 egg, 1 cup of flower, 1 cup of milk). Prepare fruits which you want to use.

Dice fruits in to small cubes. Apples need to be cooked before using in pancakes. Put fruits in to separate bowls and divide pancakes mixture between. Ready to fry 😁

Great as a breakfast, snack or a treat. You can freeze it in wrapped in a clean film.

Christening

Chloe has been Christened! She has also had a lovely holidays in Poland. I on the other had had lost few years from stressing and few kg from vomiting. Let me tell you all about it😂

You all already know that I am one of “THOSE” parents now from my last post. We have had few busy but nice days with my family. We had lots of people coming to visit and stay with us. I must admit Chloe was such a good girl. She has adapted very quickly to new surroundings, new cot and all of those new faces. She has also charmed everyone and make them fall in love with her.

We have taken Chloe for the first time to the ZOO which was a great fun (for us as I don’t think that Chloe understood what was happening). It was just what I needed the day before Christening : lovely, fun family time.

Christening morning turned up to be a nightmare. I got up in the morning and been sick, and sick and sick. I was so ill that I couldn’t get out of the bed ! How could this be happening to me on my babies Christening day??   There is my Husband saying we are cancelling Christening, the hotel restaurant which I meant to start decorating, cake which meant to be picked up like now; and there is me …. Unable to get out of the bed 2 hours before the  big event😳😳😳

Cancelling wasn’t an option and I was determinated to make it to the church. Somehow (I still don’t know how) I managed to get dress, get my sisters to help me to do a little bit of decorating and get Chloe dressed. By this point my grand ideas of how I wanted the restaurant to look like we’re gone (surprisingly 😊). I didn’t really care which was such a shame as I was planning it for so long. So I was up and running, grateful that somehow I started to feel much better, thinking that I can do it …. Until the mass had started. I have spend all mass bend in half, (this was the position I felt less horrible in) wondering if I will loos consciousness or not .

Straight after I God another rush of adrenaline and managed to get through the photos and the big meal. Big meal with lots of different courses, which I have been planning for ages and of which I have eaten a potato !!!!!

It wasn’t the day that I have planned but my baby girl has been christened and I have seen my lovely family which is the most important.

ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM ??!! No it’s only a baby

Does your baby bang her/his legs with all the power she/he has ????

How does Chloe let me know that she is up, or that she needs feed in the middle of the night? By lifting her bum and legs up and banging it on the bottom of her crib. It is so loud is crazy. The first time she did it I was downstairs and I thought that I had an elephant in the bedroom !!!!!! How do you explain to 4 months old not to it because she can brake her leg ??!!!

BREASTFEEDING AN EINSTEIN

Breastfeeding an Einstein

One of the main stories on the news few days ago was about new benefit of breastfeeding. Aparently it has been proven that  breastfeed babies stay in school for longer and get better jobs . Sounds great on top of all of the benefits that we know of  … But it sounds great only if you are breastfeeding. What if you couldn’t? Or can’t ?  This kind of news would  just make you feel bad and guilty  … Should we be speaking loudly about it or not? What do you think ?

I have been very lucky. Chloe has been born with my huge appetite which meant that she just latched on to my nipple and didn’t want to let go 😁 . It was very easy but I know how hard it is for some mums and the hell they go through when they can’t do it.

I do not agree with mums who choose not to do it (I am not judging you)  I also don’t agree with advertising how amazing breastfeeding is as we all already know it. We should concentrate on how to help mums who want to breastfeed but can’t …

SLEEPING THROUGHT THE NIGHT (I wish) … ALMOST !!!!!

We have a break through !!!!!!

With the most enormous smile on my face I can announce that for the fist time ever Chloe has got up only 1 for her milk !!!!!!! Only 1 !!!!! After getting up every 2 hours for a feed then every 4 hours and then at 4 months going back to getting up every 2 hours we FINALY have 1 feed only ( every 6 hours ) ! I am so happy and so proud of Chloe !!!! Hopeful it means that we are only steps away from sleeping through the whole night ?….

…. If I had to get up only once to feed …Why am I so tired ???!!!! 😊

FIRST TRIP TO WEST END (London)

I go out all the time, mostly for a walk, baby classes or a coffee, but  also (once in a while) to shopping centres, to see some of my working friends for lunch ect. Up until now I was very limited in places I could go to because I didn’t want to take Chloe on the tube (I thought she was to small for this). Somehow train or a bus seemed much more “safe” for a tiny baby. You know less people, being able to open a window etc 🙂

Now at just over 4 months I decided that we will go to west end to see my friends and do some proper shopping. Because I was up from 6:30am (yes Chloe still things it’s a great time to start playing😄) it meant that I could get going by 9am , get to the west end , do some shopping, see friends and get back home before it gets too busy. We have had a lovely day :me because I have seen my friends and did some shopping (I love shopping!); Chloe because she loves looking at everything + I didn’t make her have her naps 😀 (I will prabably pay for it later) .

Only problem I had is :  stairs ! why is there so many steps everywhere??!!! Don’t they realise how heavy prams are??!! Shouldn’t we have by now better acces to public transport ?

Oh and not being able to carry shopping with the pram, and needing to think about getting back home. This has seriously limited my shopping (thank god for that 😃)

Advice:

Plan your lunch or your shopping around baby.  I always make sure that I have a good plan 😃 shipping is fun but your baby routine and happiness is more important.

1. I leave the house when it’s Chloes nap time. Why? So she sleeps on the journey. I usually wak for 10 minutes before getting on the train which gives enough time in the pram for Chloe to fall asleep. If I travel by car then she would sleep in the car seat as soon as  we set off.

2. Plan your lunch or shopping around your baby. I always have lunch when Chloe is due a feed or I make sure that I am in the shop which has a parents room so I can easily feed her.

3. Baby needs some fun even when shopping (I don’t think that at this stage they understand that shopping is a great fun). I always give Chloe brake from the pram. Usually while I have lunch I would get her out of the pram and let her stand, seat, bite or wherever she wants to do. It means that while we are in the shop she doesn’t mind being in the pram.  And she loves seeing what’s happening around her !

4. Consider time at which you will be shopping. There is nothing worst than trying to shop and push your pram in a busy shop! Early mornings are the best, being a mum means that we need to get up at ridiculous time in the morning (night more like it) anyway so this shouldn’t be difficult.

5. Make sure you visit more than only baby shops 😊
