Stroller / Lightweight buggy

Yes you do need one.

Until recently I didn’t understand why people bought lightweight buggies after spending so much money on the lovely prams/travel systems. Why would you spend all of the money on this gorgeous pram to later use this ugly stroller ??!!

Few months ago we went to Poland and taking our pram was a nightmare !!! We had to buy a bag for it so it won’t get damage in the plane (this bag was as big as me!) Trying to carry it was like carrying a dead body ! We rented a car while being there; this has proven tricky as we had to find one with big enough boot to fit the pram in. All in all the experience wasn’t a good one.

We have just bought Mamas & Pappas City stroller. Light weight, compact, can fold it with one hand and it looks good as well:-) love it

Buying a highchair …. Almost like buying a car !

Can’t believe that  I am talking about Chloe and highchair in this same sentence!  How did my tiny tiny baby grow so much that she is able to seat in the highchair?? ( yes yes yes I know ….by eating all the time)

I never thought that buying a highchair will be so difficult ! It took me almost a month !!!

I have reed about highchairs so much, and then a bit more. I draged my husband to shops to look at lots of different chairs and then at the ones I already have seen.  Looked at pros and cons ect. I am only buying a highchair for God sake not a car!!!! Actually, thinking about it I don’t think that we have done that much research before buying our car 😳

I wanted something what will look good, won’t take up 80% of my living room,is comfortable for Chloe and easy to clean.

I got it down to 3 chairs : Cassato, Stokke and Mamas & Pappas.

There are prose and cons which each of them but it seems like Stokke ticks most of the boxes ( though it’s ridiculously expensive)  withe the bonus of having it for life ! I love the idea that she can have it for the rest of her life.

Downside of Stokke is lack of tray and cotton cushion (cotton ? With baby? That will last only 5 min). But if Stokke can’t be practical someone else will make money on it :-). I bought tray designed for Stokke and a lovely laminated cushion which I can clean easily.

Stokke is brilliant. I am so pleased with it.

“-“

-Yes it is pain in the bum to put it together. You attache one thing and discover Thant you need to unscrew it to attache the second bit etc.

-As I mentioned it doesn’t have a tray which isn’t great but you can buy one online. I got one and it fits perfectly is big and easily attached.

– Cushion is made of cotton which isn’t practical at all! Again you can buy cushions designed for Stokke which are laminated so you can easily clean it.

“+”

– Stylish, small wooden chair in lots of colours.

– So easy to clean!

– Comfortable for Baby and good for their spine.

– Grows with your baby.

– Looks really good πŸ™‚

SOCKS ON πŸ˜‰

ο»Ώο»Ώ

As you can see on the photo : socks are on ! And they are not going anywhere !

How many times a day do you put the sock back on ? I used to do it 10-15 times a day . How many sock did you loose ? Quite a few Not any more , thanks to some genius who designed sock ons

Brillant product !  As it comes in lots of colours I can match it to the socks that Chloe will be wearing 😁Trully recomend and thank you to whoever invented it πŸ˜„

BIB

Who would think that I would have such a strong opinion about bibs 😊

I know it’s a bit random but if your baby is dribbling all day long and insane amount of it, you start to have a vey strong opinions about bibs πŸ™‚

I always thought that it should look nice and that’s it. Now I discovered that’s not the case. Bibs checklist:

1. Obviously it needs to be pretty

2. Traditional square shape with round cutting around the neck. Sounds silly ? I bought a lot of  triangle ones and they don’t fit around the neck properly and are quite short which means that she dribbles around it πŸ™‚

3. Needs to have a waterproof lining underneath. Why? Bib without it is totally wet after an hour and so is Chloe’s top.

4. Ideally don’t have velcro sticking it together. Reason behind is that after a few washes it stops working and it’s damaging you other clothes in the wash:-)

Hope that you find it helpful 😊

LETS STARTΒ

Haven’t we all spend lots and lots of money’s on our first baby? You think that they need everything , and everything needs to be the best ! You do lots of research to make sure you have everything and anything what you and your baby may need. It’s natural, we have done exactly this same πŸ˜„ and I do have to say I loved every minute of the shopping  and spending every penny was a pleasure:-)

I have done a lot of research before buying anything and reed other mums reviews which I found very helpful. A lot of things you learn and discover as you go in to this unknown word … This part of the blog will be my take on all of the THINGS our baby “NEEDS”. Hope that you will find it helpful x

MOSES BASKET /CRIB

Moses Basket is great and I would definitely recommend buying one.

I been adviced to buy cheaper one and not to spend to much money on it. It was a good advice, considering how much you use it and what for, there is no need to buy an expensive one.

If you are planning o keeping your baby with you for the first 6 months then I would advice to also buy a crib. Why? Though moses baskets are apparently for 0-6months our Chloe was getting to small for it at 3 months. We had to buy the crib and then go throught few nights of getting her use to the new bed.

I would advice to have the crib in your bedroom next to your bed and moses basket in your living room where the little bundle of joy would spend most of the time in the first few weeks.

When it comes to fitted sheets get few of those, baby sick, nappy leak will happen so you will have to change it quite a few times πŸ™‚ I would advice on 2 Blankets for sleeping. We got much more and I haven’t used most of them. Obviously it needs to be a cellular blanket.
